Virtual reality (VR) is a technology to place you in another place by tricking your senses – sight, hearing, touch, smell to make you feel that the virtual world is real. It is nothing new though as we’re now riding the third wave of virtual reality hype, but seems like we have everything in place this time for a breakthrough.

What kind of impact can virtual reality have in our lives? VR has the potential to touch pretty much every part of our days and lives. Think about training, entertainment, healthcare, arts, retail, work, consumerism in general, travel, memories etc. There are also many sceptics who think it’s just another hype cycle (as there has already been two waves) and some who think everything is in place for VR to break through this time.
